Welcome to Metacognition Online.
This site is a portal for sharing and accessing information on metacognition from authors and contributors across locations. The prime purpose is to share information beyond the domains of universities and academic publications; to make the concept of metacognition and models and principles of instruction for metacognition more accessible. There is a need to do this to promote more widely the importance of metacognition for developing and enhancing of students' thinking and learning, irrespective of their age, subject being studied, location, or cultural background.
It is anticipated that the site will be updated every six months or earlier. Below, there is a subscribe form that can be used to receive notifications of updates to the site. There is also a forum for posting comments, suggestions, and links to resources.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you find the site informative and useful.
Sincerely, Greg Thomas
